111 Melloconcha prensa Melloconcha prensa Iredale, 1944 Flattened Glass-Snail Shell. Size: H = 3.7-4.5 mm, D = 6.8-8 mm. Colour: Pale golden brown. Shape: Discoidal with a low spire; whorls rounded. Sculpture: Shell smooth and glossy with fine, incised spiral grooves. Aperture: Ovately lunate; width greater than height. Umbilicus: Closed. Animal. Body cream to grey, with black eyestalks and a darker grey neck and tail tip. Key distinguishing features. Relatively larger shell compared to its congeners, with a low spire and rounded periphery. Habitat and occurrence. Slopes and summits of Mt Gower and Mt Lidgbird, in rainforest and moist woodland, in litter and in the crutches between palm stems and trunks. Uncommon. Remarks. This species was described from North ridge, but as all other specimens ever collected have been from the southern mountains, it is likely that the original locality was in error.
