52 Family Achatinellidae (Treesnails) Genus Tornatellides Pilsbry, 1910 Remarks. Tornatellides has nine accepted species, mainly from the Pacific (New Zealand, Lord Howe Island, Pacific Islands, Mexico), with one species in Japan. It differs from Elasmias and Tornatellinops by its more tightly coiled whorls and relatively straight columella. Tornatellides lordhowensis Shea & Griffiths, 2010 Lord Howe Miniature Treesnail Shell. Size: H = 2.4-2.6 mm, D = 1.5 mm. Colour: Pale gold. Shape: Ovately conical, sutures weakly impressed, whorls rounded. Sculpture: Smooth and glossy. Aperture: Subovate; elongate parietal lamella weak in adults but prominent in juveniles. Columella: Juveniles have a columellar lamella. Umbilicus: Narrowly open. Animal. Not known. Key distinguishing features. More elongate than Elasmias wakefieldiae ; less elongate than either Tornatellinops species. Habitat and occurrence.
