Shape: Domed shell, rounded whorls, sutures slightly impressed. Sculpture: Shell smooth and glossy with fine, incised spiral grooves. Aperture: Ovately lunate; width greater than height. Umbilicus: Closed. Animal. Body grey to black. Key distinguishing features. Highly spired, domed shell; rounded whorls. Habitat and occurrence. Found island-wide, including the North Bay region, the Settlement region, Transit Hill to Intermediate Hill, Smoking Tree ridge, and the upper slopes and summits of Mt Gower and Mt Lidgbird. Remarks. Readily distinguished from its congeners by its more highly spired, domed shell.
