Minute size; depressedly turbinate shape; sculpture of fine irregular ribs with periostracal spines. Habitat and occurrence. This species is found on the eastern Australian coast, from southern NSW to southern Qld, living in dry vine thicket and subtropical rainforest, on trunks, branches and twigs of trees and shrubs. On Lord Howe Island it is uncommon, found primarily in the settlement region, but also recorded from the North Beach region. Remarks. The only specimens collected from Lord Howe Island are empty shells found in leaf litter. However, populations on the mainland are known to be arboreal. None of the specimens from Lord Howe Island have spines present on the ribs, as recorded for mainland populations (Stanisic et al., 2010); however, these are only usually observed in fresh specimens.
